Message from the Country Manager 2019
Wow where has the year gone! As most of you know I came on board on the 1st July 2019 as Country Manager of FBNZ. My key focus has been on building our family business community and spreading the word about Family Business New Zealand, and I am very proud of what we have all achieved together to date.
We had a soft launch in February of this year which indicated to us that there was a real need and support for a NFP organisation like Family Business New Zealand so we forged ahead with the green light to go operational in July 1st 2019.
Over the last 6 months we have really hit the ground running and I wish to share with you my top 5 highlights of 2019:

FBNZ has brought together over 100 individuals of the family business community from around New Zealand.

A strong international attendance at the Family Business Conference in Melbourne, Australia. Make sure you save the dates of 26-29 August 2020 and join other family business members on the Gold Coast, Australia.

FBNZ hosted our first education program with Dr Deb Shepherd on Planning Succession for Family Business! A strong program supporting the generational transition of family businesses in New Zealand.

FBNZ secured and brings to you Brian White, Chairman, Ray White Group to kick off our 2020 program. On the back of his inspirational presentation at the Family Business conference Brian is not to be missed! Click here for tickets or for more information.

2019 saw FBNZ build a strong foundation made only possible by the support of our foundation members: A.H.Beard, Hynds Group, Kennards Hire, Russell Group, Thermosash & Turley Farms. Thank you for getting behind us.
It is fantastic to see the family business community come together with common interests, goals and learning objectives. I am very passionate about supporting families in business and I look forward to bringing our members a full program of entertaining and thought provoking events and professional development programs.
