COVID-19 UPDATE
A Message from FBNZ's CEO and Chairman

Firstly, thank you for being a part of the Family Business New Zealand (FBNZ) community. We want you to know that your health and well-being is our top priority.

The impact of COVID-19 is being felt by everyone and this is without a doubt an extremely challenging time – both personally and professionally.

An update on events, courses and conferences
As we all make sense of the evolving situation, the main priority for Family Business New Zealand is ensuring the safety and health of our members and staff. As such a number of precautionary measures have been put in place as follows:

  • The Family Business Insights Conference has been postponed until August. We are working on rescheduling the date and will keep you updated.

  • The Family Business Conference – Asia Pacific, held on the Gold Coast has been postponed until 15th - 18th November.

  • All events and courses scheduled in March, April and May have been cancelled or postponed. Those who have registered will receive further information over the coming days.

These operational changes will have an impact on Family Business New Zealand as an organisation, however with your support, we will get through it and hope to be stronger together and more resilient.

Because family business matters
FBNZ are putting in place strategies to support your family business so we can continue to have a strong community and business when we come out the other side of this challenging time.

We will be providing our members with access to resources and information from our partners that will help those who are struggling with planning for the unknown in this ever-changing business landscape.

Finally, we will be ramping up our online webinars and courses to tackle some of the current business issues we are facing now, presented by experts who will equip you with key takeaways to implement in your own business. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for more information.

As we explore different offerings for our members during this time, we encourage you as part of the family business community to stay involved with the membership. By sticking together and supporting one another, your contribution to FBNZ will help our community thrive into the future.

Best wishes,

Greg Griffith                                                                                          Iain Blakeley
